Potter Clarkson

Partnering with workplace design and build agency, Claremont, we created a space that was as professional and sophisticated as the law firm calling this office their new home. 

Intellectual property law firm Potter Clarkson were in search of a new Nottingham office with a huge sense of wow-factor; They needed a space that would not only accommodate their teams, but also inspire them, and we had just the solution…

ALTO Form

Straight off the bat, you’re greeted by the wow-factor we were briefed to create, with a two storey floor to ceiling ALTO Form wall. This is by far the largest scale ALTO Form we’ve ever produced and installed, and we certainly feel it makes a huge statement from the moment you step through the office doors. 

And the best bit? Not only does it seamlessly tie the two floors together, creating a natural flow through the office, the large coverage of ALTO effectively absorbs background noise, greatly reducing any echo usually expected in such a tall and open space. ALTO Form can also be seen in various areas of the office, linking back to the feature installation, and providing additional acoustic sound absorption.

Zoning

To help Potter Clarkson’s teams feel inspired and comfortable when working, the office was sectioned into an array of areas that would offer different ways of working to suit everyone; From co-working desks, to sofas and large boardrooms, ALTO was an effective way to mark out these separate areas. 

ALTO Float

Ceiling features like ALTO Blade and ALTO Float were used to highlight key areas throughout the office. We created a series of ALTO Float panels, with a standout corrugated piece front and centre in a cornered off boardroom area. 

Other boardrooms had simple, but effective, ALTO Float panels suspended above the lighting, absorbing unwanted sound while also reflecting the light.

ALTO Blade

The office’s central collaborative sofa area was showcased with the help of an ALTO Blade feature.

Right above the seating zone, we placed a series of ALTO Blades, alternating between linear lighting. As the office had limited to no natural light, this feature brought a much needed brightness to the space, and coupled with ALTO Blades, served as a striking piece of art.

The result

Potter Clarkson has a workplace that celebrates their teams; A diverse array of working zones ensure that there is a place for everyone, where they can be productive and feel inspired. The overall scheme is highly considered, and with every ALTO element serving a purpose, it truly is form and function.
